Family Letter 2007

Kiaora, Talofa, Hello... We have a family announcement to make...We bought a house!!! It's about 30 minutes outside Dunedin in the countryside close to the beach. It's great to live out in the boondocks and escape the hustle and bustle of town. Fiona is still the first councilor in primary and I am now a teacher in primary so we get to work together. The boys are fine and have recently finished a big school show where they dressed up as seals and danced like mambo off happy feet. So much has happened since I last wrote and it becomes increasingly harder to condense it all. The most important of all, for those who may not have heard yet, is the birth of our beautiful daughter Summer Mae Hunter. She is a God send. Her smiling face lights up the darkest of days and the love that shines through her eyes brings the boys at her beck and call for just a glimpse. I've heard it said before that life is like climbing a mountain of roses. You struggle through the thorns hoping to find a clearing to rest and dress your wounds only to continue your journey upward. It is upon picking yourself up for the final stretch that you realise something....You left the kids in the car hehe. When I look back at my life I can't help but notice three things. The unconditional love of my soul mate and wife, the sacrifice and strength of my family and friends, and the many times the Lord has carried me barefoot up the mountain to a resting place of sweet memories and breath-taking views. Arohanui my friends...
